We recently had a popiah party for one of Stella's ex-colleagues. The reviews for the popiah were quite good. Check out the comments made by RIN below. Well, all I can say is the taste of the pudding is in the eating !

LATEST UPDATES !
To all our Loyal Fans and Supporters,
It’s been more than a year since we started our foray into the food business and I must say that the support from all our friends and customers has been most encouraging. With all the feedback that we have gathered over the months, we have been able to better our food quality and taste, to cater to all our customers’ palate. Our signature Popiah and Mee Siam has been a hit as feedback from our supporters indicated that the Popiah is really one of its kind and uniquely made which cannot be gotten anywhere else in Singapore.
Anyway we have included a modification to our menu and we have included Babi Buah Keluak. This is something that is definitely uniquely Peranakan. Most times it is Ayam Buah Keluak which most restaurants will offer, however, if the Peranakan Buah Keluak dish is traced back to is origin, it was said that the dish was originally made with Pork instead of Chicken. We have offered this to some of our regular customers and the comments have been very good. This is a MUST try dish for all Buah Kelauk fans.
In addition, we have also been actively baking our Nonya Pineapple Tarts for some of the die-hard fans of this tasty snack. We have received orders for this item even when it is not during the usual Chinese New Year period when traditionally these delectable treats are made. The Jumbo sized tarts were especially popular as these can be quite a mouthful.
Check out our Menu and Pricing from the link above to refresh your memory with some of the dishes that we provide as we look forward to your continued support soon.
Thank You again Everyone !

I've had the pleasure of experiencing the delicacies of Stella & Joe. It must be said that the food is truly peranakan (I should know cos' I'm a fussy baba) and best of all, the portions are generous! Yummmm!
Stella consistently wraps popiahs with perfect proportions of stuffing and condiments. Each lovingly folded with unobstusive efficiency for dinner guests. The sweet sauce is a heirloom recipe that compliments the spicy chilli and garlic blend. Dont miss this couple's Mee Siam. It's to die for! The spicy and tangy gravy is perfectly balanced and only authentic condiments are offered to compliment the dish. No adulteration...just honest peranakan food. Sadly, I dread the extra pounds after each feasting. What with the irresitable Babi Ponteh, Bak Wan Kepiting etc. also lah! My tummy thanks you both.

I had a mini immediate family celebration for my youngest daughter 3 year old birthday party on 5 Jul. My first thought was to cater Peranakan food from Stella! I ordered the following dishes.
1) Babi Pongteh - stew pork with bamboo shoot (non spicy)
2) Chicken Rendang - dried chicken curry with coconunt milk (lightly spicy)
3) Sambal Udang - Prawn with sambal (lightly spicy)
4) Fish Maw Soup- include, quail egg, fish ball, meat ball, fish mall & white lettuce (non spicy)
5) Chap Chye - Stew Cabbage (non spicy)
6) Dessert - Sago with Gula Melaka & Ice Cream
7) Peranakan popiah DIY style
Most of my guests were intrigued by the delicious food! They especially liked the Chicken Rendang, Babi Ponteh and the Fish Maw Soup! Kids were excited about the DIY popiah where they had fun making their own personalised popiah. The dessert put a delightful end to the feast! Good food with good company is what it counts! :D
If you like home cooked Peranakan food at the comfort of your house while hosting your guests, call Stella!
Stella's cooking is awesome! We had Sambal Terong, Peranakan Chicken Rending and Curry Chicken.
The Sambal Terong was just the right texture, not too spicy and just the right mix of egg plants and sambal.
The Chicken Rending was absolutely finger licking very fragrant with curry spices and lemongrass.
What can I say about the Chicken curry -- Absolutely delicious!
Thanks for sharing them with us, Stella!
